Nature and extent of involvement of faculty and students in academic affairs / improvements.

 

Various committees, consisting faculty and students as members are in operation for the continuous improvement of academic affairs and institute. Following are the few committees with their objectives.

 

 

1)       Student Feedback on Institutional Governance / faculty performance:

                                            The institute has mechanism to take the feedback in three following           

                                            forms:

a.        In the academic year two times the feedback regarding the

                             faculty performance, general administration of department &

                             institute is taken.

b.       The Director visits every classroom and collects feedback

                             about teaching  performance of teachers

 

c.       The expert committee of four senior members visits the

                            departments twice in a year. The committee collects feedback

                            from students and according they guide institute.

 

 

   2)   Committee for Placement :

 

      Objectives:

a)       To arrange pre –placement training for the students in the form of organizing Group discussions, Personnel interviews, Mock tests, Personality development workshops, Communication skill development workshops etc.

b)      To  interact with the industry.

c)       To promote entrepreneurship in students.

d)       To arrange Industry-Institute Interaction Meet.

 

3)       Committee for Library/Journals :

Objectives:

a)       To identify the textbooks and journals to be procured.

b)      To recommend purchase of standard texts, reference books and journals.

c)       To monitor library timings.

d)      To generate a data bank for research scholars.

 

4)       Committee for Interactive Sessions/ Seminars/ Workshops/ Symposia

Objectives:

a)       To prepare timetable for interactive sessions.

b)      To monitor the progress of interactive sessions and making suggestions.

c)       To monitor the implementation of the schedule of seminars/workshops.

                    To guide, induce and facilitate case studies from faculty and publish.

 

5)       Committee for Academic Development :

Objectives:

a)       To prepare academic session plan.

b)      To fix the timetable for internal examinations, tests, tutorials and presentations.

c)       To monitor the attendance of students.

d)      To guide the students for specialization and for project work.

e)      To provide career guidance and counseling.

 

 

6)       Committee for Research and Consultancy:

Objectives:

a) To identify areas for research in various Business functional areas and

     Social Issues.

b) To approach industry and professional bodies to obtain research

     assignments.

b)      To encourage faculties and students for contributing research based paper.

ü      Candidate must have appeared for CET conducted by the DTE, MS and for OMS Candidate any qualifying examination as CAT/JMET/MAT (Conducted in February 2009) /XAT/ATMA, also  Group Discussion and Personal Interview conducted by a competent authority of Maharashtra State for academic Year 2009-10.
